underachiever  기대에 미치지 못하는 사람

• Having you here, Anna, firmly establishes what I've long suspected that we really are the most desperate lot of underachievers.
• She has the brains but not the grades because she's an underachiever.

overachiever  기대 이상의 성과를 올리는 사람

• She makes her clients happy because she's an overachiever.
• Our project was perfect, but the overachiever Sam made us stay up all night anyway. (부정적 느낌)

 

 

saddest act  가장 불쌍한 사람, 가장 애처로운 사람, 한심한 사람
